How we started

Bhartiya School, Port Harcourt, Nigeria (BSPN) is a not-for-profit co-educational school established by the Indorama group as part of its social responsibility to its teeming Indian community in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The school opened its doors to students in 2009 with less than ten students. Since then, Bhartiya School, Port Harcourt, Nigeria has expanded to include pre-KG, UKG, KS1, KS2 and middle school. Many students have left the school to pursue high school and university education in India and other parts of the world. At present, there are 161 students on campus.

Bhartiya School, Port Harcourt, Nigeria is dedicated to academic excellence, robust extra-curricular activities, after-school life and superb child protection and welfare. Students are led to learn, inquire and discover their environment and world as well as acquire discipline.They are prepared to build on these experiences to shape their higher academic future and their distant, independent future. Students are taught and guided by a team of highly qualified and experienced teachers from both India and the host country, Nigeria.
